Yealink: Swapping A Device Between Two Extensions

Intended Audience: White Label Partners 

The following information will help you swap a Yealink device from one extension to another.

 

Requirements

  • Access to the Manager Portal
 

  1. Log into the Manager Portal and navigate to the Domain where those two extensions are located
  2. Go to the Inventory Tab
  3. Click Phone Hardware
  4. Click edit on the device that you want to modify first
  5. Under the Basic Tab, you will be placing the extension you will be swapping with
  6. Go to the Advanced tab and Clear the Global One time password again by following this doc: Reset Global One Time Password
  7. Click Save and repeat with the other device
  8. Now, the next step would require you to verify if that Yealink device is connected to any RPS. If it is connected, then you will only need to Factory Reset (Article: Factory Reset SIP Phones) that device to get it up and running. If it is not connected to any RPS, you will still need to Factory Reset and follow this doc again: Yealink: Manual Provisioning
