Scope:

The following steps will allow you to manually configure a Grandstream wireless base. 

 

Requirements:

  • Grandstream Wireless Base (DP752, DP750, etc.)
  • Access to Manager Portal
  • Access to Grandstream Device Web GUI
 

 

Obtaining SIP Credentials
  1. Log into the Manager Portal.
  2. Click on Users at the top.
  3. Find your extension number.
  4. At the far right, click on the pencil and then Phones.
  5. SIP credentials will only be available for Manual or Softphones. Click on the phone you would like the credentials for.
  6. Note the details on the popup.

Configuring the Base

  1. Using any web browser navigate to the IP address of the base. 
    1. Navigating to Status > Base Status
  2. Log in. The default username is admin, the password will be located on the tag at the back of the base.
  3. Click on Profiles > Profile 1 > General Settings
  4. Fill out the following:
    • SIP Server: Domain/Proxy from the step above
    • Outbound Proxy: Outbound Proxy from the step above
    • Voice Mail Access Number: 9901
  5. Now go to Dect > SIP Account Settings
  6. Here is where you will configure the SIP Credentials.
  7. Under the account you would like to configure, fill out the following:
    • SIP User ID: Username from the step above
    • Authenticate ID: Username from the step above
    • Password: Password from the step above
  8. Make sure that the Profile is set to the profile we configured in the step above ex. Profile 1 and that that HS Mode is set to the handset you are setting up.
