Scope:

This guide uses the Directed Call Park method by configuring a Grandstream Multipurpose Key (MPK) to transfer a call to a directed park orbit. The MPK Key on a Grandstream phone may be configured via the device's web UI, SNAPbuilder,  or by remotely provisioning the phone using overrides in the Provisioning Server (NDP).

 

Requirements:

  • Access to the Manager Portal
  • Access to the Phone's Web GUI
 

 

Configure the MPK Key to Park Button
  1. Find the IP address of the phone and log in using any web browser.
    1. Default login is admin / admin
  2. Mouse over Settings > Programmable Keys > Virtual Multi-Purpose Keys or Programmable Keys.
    1. Virtual Multi-Purpose Keys: These are they keys next to the screen of the phone.
    2. Programmable Keys: These are the keys on the bottom right of the phone with the lights on them.
  3. Set the Mode to Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
  4. Set the Description to anything descriptive
  5. Set the Value to the extension number of the parking
  6. Repeat above steps for each of the parking extension. 
  7. Click Save and Apply when finished
  8. Click on Accounts > Account 1 > SIP Settings > Advanced Features
  9. Set Force BLF Call-pickup by prefix to Enabled
  10. Set BLF Call-pickup Prefix to *35
  11. Click Save and Apply
