Scope

Intended Audience: All Users

This article outlines how to configure your unlocked iOS or Android device with Mobile-X.

Requirements

  • Mobile-X provisioned SIM or QR Code for eSIM (You should have received this from your provider)
  • Unlocked iPhone XR or newer, using iOS 15.4 or higher

Prerequisites

Before turning on iMessage, in Settings > Messages, ensure the following is completed.

Enter the Extend Number in Device Settings

  • Go to Settings > Cellular > select the SIM > My Number
  • Enter the Number provisioned with your Extend SIM

Verify the Extend Number in iCloud

  • Go to iCloud > iPhone > Device Info
  • There should be a place for the Extend SIM listed

Note

  • iMessage activations are controlled entirely by Apple.
  • It's very important for Apple Activation requests (iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, etc.) to have your phone number properly associated with your device.
  • Number Format: When entering your number, use the +E.164 format

Enable iMessage on iPhone

  • Go to Settings > Messages
  • Turn ON iMessage

The service should then activate using your Extend number
