Scope Download and Install the Software Provisioning Device

Intended Audience: All Users

This article goes over provisioning a Viking IP1700

 

Download and Install the Software

  1. Navigate to www.vikingelectronics.com
  2. Enter K-1700-IP in the search field
  3. Click K-1700-IP search Result
  4. Scroll down to Downloads and click IP Programming Software
  5. Install and launch the software

Provisioning Device

  1. Click the IP Settings Tab
  2. Set the SIP Server settings
    1. To view the registration information for a softphone or manually registered phone, edit the newly created device and note the Domain/Proxy, Outbound Proxy, Username, and Password

    2. Server: FQDN
    3. Outbound Proxy: configure by IP address to the correct server
    4. Authentic ID: ext that the device is assigned to
    5. Username: ext that the device is assigned to
    6. Password: Gained from device settings in manager portal
  3. Once the changes have been made, an Apply button will be visible at the bottom of the screen. Click the Apply button to Provision the line.
    1. Once the provisioning is complete, on the Alarms/Firmware tab, you can see registration status.
