Remove E911 Number From Manager Portal

Deprovision Emergency Number

Scope

Intended Audience: White Label Partners

This article outlines how to deprovision an e911 number in the manager portal if needed.

 

Requirements

White Label Access to the Manager Portal

 

 

Deprovision Emergency Number

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Navigate to Inventory
  3. Go to the Emergency Numbers (Legacy) tab
  4. Next to the number to deprovision, click the red X
  5. Click Yes
  6. If the number is still set as the Emergency Caller ID on any extensions, it will appear as Not Provisioned. If the number is not assigned to any users, it will be removed from the list
  7. Navigate to Users
  8. Uncheck Hide System Users
  9. Click Export
  10. Check the 911 Caller ID column for entries matching the number
  11. Return to the Manager Portal and update the noted users
  12. If the number is still appearing, ensure the domain and site defaults are not set to use that number
  13. If the number is still showing as Not Provisioned then it will still be part of the billing count for e911, to remove them from the billing count you till need to delete the Not Provisioned numbers. If the number status shows as Inactive then no action is needed.
  14. You can either click force delete on the row or use the Force Delete All Not Provisioned
  15. The Force Delete All Not Provisioned button will open a popout summarizing what numbers will be deleted, after you type the force delete words it will bring you to the popouts next page where it shows the progress of the process.
  16. After it completed the deletes, the e911 numbers will no longer be considered billable and should show as Inactive.
