Supported Yealink Devices How to Start Local Conferencing Managing Local Conference

Scope:

The following article will show you how to start a local conferencing with supported Yealink Phones

 

 

Supported Yealink Devices

The table below is the supported Yealink devices for local conferencing with 3 or more parties. We recommend verifying the phone is on the latest manufacturer firmware version before following these steps

How to Start Local Conferencing

  1. Place a call or while on an active call
  2. Once the call is active, Press the Conference softkey on the screen
  3. Dial another number ( extension or off-net )
  4. Once the call is connected, press the Conference softkey on the screen again
  5. At this point, you should have 3 parties on the call including yourself.  You may add another party to this conference.
  6. On the phone screen, you'll notice that the Conference softkey button is now on the left side of the screen.  Press the button, then dial another number (ext/off-net).  
  7. Once the call is connected, hit the Conference softkey button again.  
  8. You may repeat the steps as needed to add more parties to the call.

Managing Local Conference

  • You'll notice a Manage soft key on the screen while you're on a conference.   To manage the conference participants, press the Manage button.
  • On the screen, you'll see a list of participants and 4 softkey buttons.   Far mute, Remove, Far hold, and Back.   
  • Use the Up/Down arrow on the keypad and select the participant you'd like to perform one of these actions to.   Far mute is to mute the selected participant, Far hold is to put that selected user on hold, and Remove is to remove the participant from the conference.  The back softkey will simply take you back to the previous screen.
