Scope:

Requirements:

  • 2 Yealink W80B Bases
  • Yealink W80 Interim FW
  • Yealink W80B DM FW

Adding the W80B DM to the Manager Portal

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Navigate to Inventory > Phone Hardware
  3. Click on Add Phone
  4. Fill out the following field
    1. Model - Yealink W80B
    2. Mac Address - Mac Address of the Base
    3. Line X - User extension each line will be assigned to
  5. Once those fields are filled out click on the Advanced Tab at the top
  6. Under the Overrides field add the below configurations replacing any X's with the number of the base
static.station.mode="0"
station.X.name="Base X"
station.allowed.x.name="Base X"
station.allowed.x.mac="<Mac Address of the additional base>
  • Note: You will need to repeat the above override x times for the amount of bases you will be configuring in addition to the DM
  1. Once added click on Save

Updating W80B Firmware

  1. Navigate to the Web Gui of the phone by entering its private IP address into your search bar
  2. Login using the default credentials admin/admin
    • If the above credentials do not work then the phone may already be provisioned, please reach out to your service provider for assistance
  3. Once Logged in open the dropdown for Settings
  4. Click on Upgrade
  5. On this page under the Upgrade section,  click on Browse
  6. Navigate to the directory of the Interim Rom Firmware and click Open
    • This step only needs to be done if the most recent FW available from Yealink and that of your base is the same version
  7. Once chosen click on Upgrade
  8. Once done repeat the above steps to install the DM Rom Firmware

After all of the above steps have been completed, the DM should automatically pick up on the other bases as long as the mac address have been configured and they are able to reach each other over the network
