VoIPMonitor: How to Capture a PCAP

Download a PCAP from VoIPMonitor

This article will describe how to capture a PCAP using VoIPMonitor. VoIPMonitor PCAP's are used to see the packets sent during a specific call.

 

Requirements:

  • Access to Manager Portal 
     
  • Access to VoIPMonitor 
     
  • Wireshark
 

 

Download a PCAP from VoIPMonitor

  • Locate the call you would like a PCAP for in the Manager Portal using this article: https://voipdocs.io/en/articles/174-call-history
  • On the call you selected, click the number in the QoS column. This will open VoIPMonitor.
  • Log in to VoIPMonitor when prompted. The call will show up automatically.
  • Under Commands, click PCAP. The PCAP will generate and begin to download.
  • Once the download has finished, you can open the PCAP in Wireshark.
