Setting Unanswered calls to External Number's Voicemail

Scope

Intended Audience: All End Users

This article will explain how to set a user's answering rule if unanswered, to forward to the external number's voicemail rather than the extension's voicemail.

 

Requirements

  • Access to PBX
  • User's Answering Rule is set to forward to an external number
 

 

  1. Log into the PBX
  2. Click the Users tab & click the User
  3. Once you are on the User's profile, click Answering Rules
  4. Click the dropdown for the Ring Time
  5. Set the ring time to 35 seconds
    1. Anything below that will result in a “You have entered an invalid destination number. Please enter the destination mailbox” message.
  6. Once clicked, it will automatically save
