Scope:

This document will show you how to ensure that a calling plan is disabled for Microsoft Business Voice.

Requirements:

Access to Microsoft Admin Center.

Problem

If you are using a Group A User license, you will require a Phone System add on. The Microsoft Business Voice (MBV) license is an excellent Add on but requires that the calling plan is disabled. Microsoft often bundles MBV with Calling Plan. Here is a step by step process to ensure that it is disabled.

Solution
  1. Ensure that you have assigned per Group A a User and Add On License to any Users who will have the TeamMate Connector activated. Navigate to Users > Active users > (future TeamMate Connector User).
  2. After selecting the User Navigate to Licenses and Apps.
  3. Select App, then Dropdown Menu will appear.
  4. Ensure that the Calling Plan is unselected.
  5. Click Save changes when ready.

Once Microsoft Admin confirms those licensing changes have occurred for the User you will be able to link Teams to the PBX using the TeamMate Connector.
