Scope

This article outlines the release notes for version 3.1 of the SNAPmobile Android app. Branded apps have already been pushed out to all applicable partners. You may follow these instructions to publish them or contact support for assistance.

Improvements

  • Added a Microphone Gain control option to Menu > Settings > Adjust microphone gain in SNAPmobile Android
  • In order to open a number in the SNAPmobile dialer, the "Share" option must be selected, rather than the "Call" option on prior versions.
  • The app will no longer automatically route audio to a smartwatch. In a call, the UI only shows the speakerphone toggle option. However, a user can still answer the call on their smartwatch and have audio routed there, and can send the call back to the phone at any time.
  • A missed call notification will now only show if the call wasn't answered elsewhere

Bug Fixes

  • With interdomain on-net calls, the wrong number was displayed. Call history items are now displayed properly, showing the number dialed in outbound calls.
  • Fixed issue that occurred when answering two calls, the second one is put on hold. SNAPmobile now properly handles the telephony stack for any combination of outgoing + incoming calls. Can now properly handle call transfers irrespective of the call state (resumed or paused).
  • Push notifications now are delivered regardless of power mode settings or app memory status.
It was possible to receive rings after logout. SNAPmobile now fully deregisters when a user logs out, so calls will not complete after logout.
  • Fixed presence node events to redraw UI for that contact in linear time, removing the ANR and reducing resource use.
  • Corrected a bug where the notifications for SNAPmobile were not functioning correctly after a call ends. Notifications function as expected before and after calls.
  • Memory use and related crashes were reduced by using Glide to load video thumbnails.
  • Corrected issue displaying caller's name in call history for off-net inbound calls.
  • Fixed issue where incoming calls interrupt active PSTN calls with ringing after being dismissed. There is no longer any audible ringtone when there is an active call, cellular or SNAPmobile or otherwise. The phone will only vibrate and will cease to do so upon rejecting or answering the call.
  • SNAPmobile now refreshes voicemails each time the voicemail screen is visited, and the UI is reset each time to display any updated transcription values
  • Corrected User Interface display issue that cut off the “active call” menu.
  • Corrected an issue where SNAPmobile did not play an error tone when an outbound call failed to connect. Audible error tone is played similar to other VoIP devices
  • The answer button was not showing on incoming calls. After integrating with the Android telephony system, incoming SNAPmobile Android calls function perfectly over existing cellular calls
