Scope

Intended Audience: All End Users

This article will show you how to setup your ReadyNet QX300 Native Fax ATA out of the box. A QX300 is used to sync your fax machines with your Native Fax service, eliminating the need for POTS (analog) lines. Setup is quick and easy.

Requirements

A ReadyNet QX300 Native Fax ATA

Front of QX300

Back of QX300

Package Contents

  • ReadyNet QX300 (power supply built-in )
  • RJ11 telephone cable
  • Cat5e network cable

Connect Device

  • Connect the network cable to an available ethernet port on your network. Connect the other end into the QX300's Internet port.
  • Connect the QX300 to power
  • Connect the RJ11 telephone cable into the Phone port. Connect the other end into your fax or copier machine.

Once online, the ATA will take several minutes to finish coming online. Once it has turned solid blue, you may check the ATA status in the Manager Portal -> Inventory -> Fax Account.  You should now see the ATA status under Serial Number Online

NOTE: The ATA Status light may turn solid blue, then begin blinking slowly before turning solid blue again and coming online. Please wait for at least 5 minutes if you do not see the ATA online after it initializes the first time.

IMPORTANT!  If the ATA remains offline after 5 minutes, unplug the ATA power, plug it back in, and check Manager Portal again.

Ethernet Port

The ethernet port can be used if needed. This will allow devices using the ethernet port to connect to the internet through the QX300.

If more than 1 device is to be used, you will need to connect a network switch to the ethernet port to support additional devices.

-If the ethernet port is used, then the devices connected to it will be on their own subnet and will not be able to communicate with devices on the main network.
-Bridging of the WAN and Ethernet port is NOT supported.
