Scope

Intended Audience: All End Users

This article outlines any known issues or considerations with Mobile-X that should be reviewed before onboarding a user with Mobile-X.

 

 

  • Supported Devices (Updated 8/28/23)
    • ALL DEVICES MUST BE CARRIER UNLOCKED
    • Unless otherwise specified, device APN config is set automatically
    • A device restart is always recommended after installation of eSIM or pSIM
    • You can have as many inbound DIDs as you pay for. To call out or send SMS from multiple DIDs, you need a SIM or eSIM slot for each.

  • Both eSIM and Physical SIM are available and can be used in supported devices with dual SIM.
    • When using Dual-SIM your phone will use your primary SIM unless configured otherwise
  • DATA BUCKETS ASSIGNED DO NOT SEND ANY NOTIFICATIONS UPON DEPLETION
    • If the reseller or distributor has a group bucket, the subscriber will begin drawing from that bucket or begin incurring overage fees.
  • Once a SIM has been assigned to a subscriber (either eSIM or physical), it cannot be reused. If a new SIM is assigned to the subscriber, the old SIM must be thrown away or deleted.
  • Both eSIM and Physical SIM support the below features
    • Inbound Calling
    • Outbound Calling
    • Extension to Extension Calling
    • Inbound and Outbound SMS
    • Inbound and Outbound MMS
      NOTE: There is a known limitation with the Samsung Galaxy S21 where MMS can only be sent or received using the primary SIM in a dual-SIM setup
