Account Setup

Scope:

The following steps will allow you to configure the Android phone application for use with your Hosted PBX service.

 

Requirements:

  • Android OS 4.1.1 or higher
  • SIP Credentials - Find how to get them here
 

 

Account Setup

  1. Open the Phone application
  2. Select the ellipses menu at the top right
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Calls
  5. Select Calling accounts
  6. Select SIP accounts
  7. At the top right select the + icon
  8. Select each field and use your SIP credentials to fill them out
    1. Username: Enter the Username
    2. Password: Enter the Password
    3. Server: Enter the Domain/Proxy
    4. Select Optional Settings to show all
    5. Authentication username: Enter the Username
    6. Outbound proxy address: sbc.ucaasnetwork.com
  9. At the top right select SAVE
  10. You should now see your account listed. Press the back arrow
  11. Select Make calls with
  12. Select Ask first
  13. Select Use SIP calling
  14. Select For all calls
  15. Enable Receive incoming calls

  16. Select the back arrow until you get to the home screen
  17. From the dialer enter a number you wish to call
  18. Press the green dial key
  19. You will be prompted with a screen asking which account to use
  20. Select the SIP account you set up above
