Obtain SIP Credentials Find Cyberdata IP Address Configure Cyberdata

Scope:

The following steps will allow you to provision a Cyberdata paging unit with your service

 

Items Needed:

  • Cyberdata Paging Unit plugged into the network
  • Web browser with access to same LAN as Cyberdata
  • Access to the Manager Portal (Office Manager or Above)
 

 

Obtain SIP Credentials


  1. Using any web browser log in to the Manager Portal
  2.  Click on Users at the top
  3. Find your extension number. At the far right click on the pencil, and then Phones
  4. Click on Add Phone
  5. Leave as default and then click Add
  6.  The page will refresh and you will now see your extension in the list. Click on the pencil again
  7.  Note the information in the popup. You will need it for the next step

Find Cyberdata IP Address


The default address is 10.10.10.10. If the device is placed on a network with a DHCP server, it will pull the DHCP address.

  1. Connect the Cyberdata to a speaker
  2. Quickly press and release the RTFM button on the back of the device.
  3. The IP address will play over the speaker.

Configure Cyberdata


  1. Using any web browser navigate to the IP address from the above step
  2. Log in. The default credentials are admin / admin
  3. Click on SIP at from the side menu 
  4.  Fill out the following:
    1. Enable SIP operation: checked
    2. Register with a SIP Server: checked
    3. Buffer SIP Calls: unchecked
    4. Server Transport Protocol: TCP
    5. RTP PORT (even): 6(extension) ex: 6801 for extension 801
    6. Outbound proxy: outbound proxy from the portal
    7. Outbound Proxy Port: 0
    8. Primary SIP Server: Domain/Proxy from PBX Portal
    9. Primary SIP User ID: Username from PBX Portal
    10. Primary SIP Auth ID: Username from PBX Portal
    11. Primary SIP Auth Password: Password from PBX Portal
    12. Re-registration Interval (in seconds): 60
  5. Click Save on the top right menu. The device should show registered in the portal and on the home screen.
