Obtain SIP Credentials Find IP Address Configure Phone

Scope:

The following steps will allow you to configure a Cisco desk phone manually for use with your Hosted PBX service.

 

Requirements:

  • Access to Cisco web GUI 
     
  • Access to Manager Portal
 

 

Obtain SIP Credentials

  1. Log into Manager Portal 
  2. Navigate to Phones
    NOTE: Office Managers can navigate to Users > select the user > Phones
  3. Select Phone Info for the phone you wish to register.
    NOTE: You will only see the information if the phone model is set to Manual or Softphone
  4. Take note of the listed information.
  5. Click Cancel when you are finished

Find IP Address

  1. From the Cisco phone select Setup
  2. Select Network > IPv4 Status
  3. Note the IP Address

Configure Phone

  1. Using any web browser navigate to the IP address from the above step
  2. Click on Admin Login > Advanced
  3. Click on Voice > Ext 1 at the top
  4. Complete the following, leaving all other fields as default
    • Mailbox ID: 9901
    • Mail Server: Enter the Outbound
    • Proxy: Enter the Domain / Proxy
    • Outbound Proxy: Enter the Outbound Proxy
    • Use Outbound Proxy: yes
    • Register: yes
    • Display Name: User's Name
    • User ID: Username
    • Use Auth ID: yes
    • Auth ID: Username
    • Password: Password
  5. Click Submit All Changes
