Obtaining Registration Information Configure Snom M100

Scope

Intended Audience: Client or T1 Technician and Higher

The following article will go over manually registering a Snom M100 base station.

 

Requirements:

  • Access to Snom web GUI 
     
  • Access to Manager Portal
 

 

Obtaining Registration Information

  1. Log into Manager Portal 
  2. Navigate to Phones
    NOTE: Office Managers can navigate to Users > select the user > Phones
  3. Select Phone Info for the phone you wish to register.
    NOTE: You will only see the information if the phone model is set to Manual or Softphone
  4. Take note of the listed information.
  5. Click Cancel when you are finished

Configure Snom M100

  1. Using any web browser, navigate to the IP address of the base.
  2. Click on the System tab
  3. Click Enable Account and populate the following fields:
    1. Account Label: <User Extension>
    2. Display Name: <Username>
    3. User Identifier: <User Extension>
    4. Authentification name: <User Extension>
    5. Authentification password: <Password>
    6.

    8.  
    9.  
    10.  
    11.  
  4. SIP Server: <Client Domain> Port: 5060
  5. Registration: <Client Domain> Port: 5060
  6. Outbound Proxy: <Domain/Proxy from SIP Info> Port: 5060
  7. Once these fields are populated, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Save 
  8. Navigate to Status and you should see that the account is registered.
  9. If it shows SIP Error, make sure you entered the correct SIP Credentials and check the SIP Log to make sure that it's sending the registration.  The SIP Log will give you some details on the SIP Messages error.
