Scope Requirements: Download Hardware Template Import Hardware

Scope

This documentation will show you to properly import phones into a domain using a CSV file.

 

Requirements:

  • Access to Manager Portal 
     
  • List of phones to import 
     
  • Any application that will allow you to edit and save CSV files
 

 

Download Hardware Template

  1. Navigate to Inventory > Phone Hardware > Import
  2. Click Download Template

Import Hardware

  1. Fill out the columns as follows:
    • MAC: The MAC address located on the back of the phone
    • Model: The Make & Model of the phone. This should match however it appears on the dropdown of Add Phone
    • Server: Leave as is
    • Line 1-Line 6: List the extensions registered to each phone. Typically you will only use Line 1
    • Notes: Add any specific notes about the phone
  2. Save the excel sheet as a .CSV 
  3. Return to your browser and click Browse
  4. Select the import file and click Upload
  5. The page will refresh to display the imported information. Verify everything is correct and click Import
