Creating the Profile Association Adding the MAC Addresses to ZTP

Scope

The following steps will allow you to provision a new or factory reset Polycom phone to NDP servers without any prior configuration. This is most commonly used in cases where you must direct ship a mass amount of new phones to a customer. The first time the phone boots it will seek out the Polycom ZTP service and get redirected to our provisioning servers

 

Requirements

  • Access to Polycom ZTP site
  • A list of all MAC Addresses needed to be added to ZTP 
  • MAC addresses must already have been entered in the Manager Portal
  •  
 

 

Creating the Profile Association


  1. Click on Profile Association
  2. Fill in the following fields
    • Reference ID: Domain name
    • Company Name: Company Name
    • Profile Association Mode: Manual Profile Association
  3. All other fields can be left blank
  4. Click Next

Adding the MAC Addresses to ZTP


  1. Under the Devices tab, click Claim Devices 
  2. Fill out the following information
    • MAC Address: MAC Address of Phone
    • Profile: Enter the profile name of the provisioning server
    • Tag: <domain name>
  3. Click Claim Devices
  4. The status of the registration will be confirmed once completed
