Scope

Intended Audience: All Users

The following steps will allow you to update a desk phone outbound proxy manually

 

Requirements

  • Access to Phone Web GUI
  • Access to the Manager Portal / Web Portal
 

New Core OB Proxy List

  • sbc-las.ucaasnetwork.com ---> sbc-phx.ucaasnetwork.com   
  • sbc-grr.ucaasnetwork.com ---> sbc-iad.ucaasnetwork.com 
  • sbc-atl.ucaasnetwork.com 

Configure Yealink Phone OB Proxy

  1. Using any web browser navigate to the IP address from the above step
  2. Log in.

  1. Click on Account at the top and then select Register.

  1. Locate the following field Outbound Proxy Server 1:
  2. Update the Outbound Proxy FQDN based on the chart at the top of the doc.
  3. Click Confirm
  4. The page will refresh. Look at the top under Register Status. It should now say Registered

Configuring Polycom Phone OB Proxy

  1. Using any web browser navigate to the IP address of the phone
  2. Log in.
  3. Once logged in, navigate to Settings > SIP
  4. Click on the plus next to Outbound Proxy
  5. Under Address enter the Outbound Proxy from the portal

  1. Click on Save located at the bottom of the page

  1. The phone should flash and then attempt a reboot process.


 

Configure Grandstream Phone OB Proxy

  1. Using any web browser navigate to the IP address of the phone
  2. Log in.

  1. Navigate to Accounts > Account 1 > General Settings
  2. Look for the Outbound Proxy field.

5. Click Save and Apply
6. Once the phone registers, you will see the phone icon turn green at the top left



 

How to verify OB Proxy Change

You can verify the update of the OB proxy on the phone hardware inventory page.
  1. Login to the manager portal.
  2. Select Inventory either from Root View or from within the specific domain.
  3. Select Phone Hardware and then search the phones via extension or mac address, you can then view if the phone is online or offline and what core the phone is currently provisioned too.
 You can then see the current OB server the phone is connected too under hostname.
