Grandstream: HT8xx Provisioning

Scope:
The following steps will allow you to provision a Grandstream HT8xx ATA for use with your Hosted PBX service. This has been tested with firmware 10.0.25.5.
Requirements:
- Device must be plugged into network and power
- MAC added to the phone of a user
- Access to Manager Portal
- An analog phone or IP scanner
Add Phone to User
- Follow https://voipdocs.io/articles/104
- For Model select the appropriate Grandstream HT-8xx device.
Find IP Address by Phone
- Plug a phone into the #1 phone port
- Dial ***
- Dial 02
- Take note of the IPv4 address for the next steps
Find IP Address by IP Scanner
- Run an IP scanner such as Angry IP scanner to find the IP address of the device.
Set Provisioning URL
- Using any web browser navigate to the IP address of the phone
- Log in. The default credentials are admin / admin.
If these do not work, contact your current service provider or the vendor the phones were purchased from. - Click on Advanced Settings at the top
- Set Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning to HTTP
- Set the Config Server Path to ndp.ucaasnetwork.com/cfg/
- Scroll to the bottom and click Apply
- Click on Advanced Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and click Reboot
Summary
Upon reboot, you should see the phone icon light up on the ATA's LED panel. This signifies that the ATA is registered.
