Scope

Intended Audience: White Label Partners or higher

This article outlines how to configure notifications when a user dials 911 or 933 in the Manager Portal. The message will be played/shown as follows: There is an emergency call from <User's Name> at <User's Extension>.

 

Requirements

  • White Label Access to Manager Portal 
     
  • Poly UC device (firmware 5.7 or higher) or Yealink device (firmware 86.0.21 or higher) 
    NOTE: This is only needed to receive notifications directly to the phone screen.

Configure Notifications for a Domain

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Navigate to Domains
  3. Click Edit for the domain you wish modify
  4. Navigate to the Emergency tab
  5. Scroll down to Emergency Notifications and complete each field as desired
    • Notify Via Phone Call: These users will receive a phone notifying them that an emergency call has been made. Only extensions may be selected for this feature, not remote DIDs
    • Notify Via Phone Message: These users will receive a pop-up on their phone screen notifying them that an emergency call has been made (Poly UC and Yealink devices only)
    • Notify Via Email: These email addresses will receive an email notification with the user's name and extension that dialed 911 or 933.
  6. Click Save

Configure Notifications for a Site

To add notifications to a site, the site must already have been created.

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Select the domain you wish to use
  3. Navigate to Users
  4. Go to the Sites tab
  5. Select the site to add notifications for
  6. Scroll down to Emergency Notifications and complete each field as desired
    • Notify Via Phone Call: These users will receive a phone notifying them that an emergency call has been made. Only extensions may be selected for this feature, not remote DIDs
    • Notify Via Phone Message: These users will receive a pop-up on their phone screen notifying them that an emergency call has been made (Poly UC and Yealink devices only)
    • Notify Via Email: These email addresses will receive an email notification with the user's name and extension that dialed 911 or 933.
  7. Click Save
