Datagate: How to Add a Surcharge to Invoices

Scope

The following steps will show you how to add a fee to your invoices.

 

 

Requirements

  • Access to Datagate
 

 

  1. Log in to Datagate
     
  2. Hover over your name and click on Settings 

     
  3. Click on Surcharges

     
  4. Click the + sign.

     
  5. Enter the following details
    1. Name: This is the name you want to call your surcharge. It is recommended to enter it in all capital letters so that it matches the text in the taxes and fees section. i/e ACCESS RECOVERY FEE, COST RECOVERY SURCHARGE, COST RECOVERY FEE.
    2. Surcharge Type: Percentage
    3. Value: This is in decimal points. I.e 4% = 0.04
       
  6. Click the floppy disk to save.
