Datagate: Sync Xero Customers

Scope Requirements: Customer Sync Prerequisite Customer Sync Process

Intended Audience: White Label Partners

The following steps will show you how to sync your Quickbooks Online customers with Datagate

 

Requirements:

  • Access to Datagate
  • Set Up Xero Integration 
 

Customer Sync Prerequisite

  1. To filter customers that will be imported into Datagate – Create a Contact Group called “Datagate” and assign that to all the customer contacts in Xero.  
    1. The screenshot below shows where the Contact Group should be created in Xero. A new group called “Datagate” needs to be added.
    2. If there is no Datagate group in Xero the Customer sync will import ALL Customers.
  2. For brand-new partners, the above is all that is needed to sync customers.  
  3. For partners with customers in Datagate and Xero
    1. Ensure the Customers Name in Datagate is Identical to the Customer Name in Xero.

Customer Sync Process

  1. Log in to Datagate
  2. Click to Customers
  3. Click on the Sync Logo
     
  4. Click on Xero Sync Icon with the red pause icon
  5. The Xero login screen will open - Enter your Xero information and click Log In
  6. The Xero Icon in the Customers screen should have a  green check icon
  7. Click the Xero Icon again and click Confirm to import customers.

Your Xero customers should now be synced with Datagate
