Scope Requirements Creating Users Customizing the Portal

Scope

The following steps will show you how to set up the Customer End Portal so your customers can log in and see their invoices.

 

 

Requirements

  • Access to Datagate
    • Portal URL Set Up With Datagate
 

 

Creating Users

  1. Go to Customers and select the Customer you want to create a new user for
     
  2. Go to the ‘Users’ tab under the Customer

     
  3. Click the + button to add a new user.
     
  4. Enter the User Details
    1. Email (this will be your login username) 
    2. Display Name
    3. Password (must be 6 or more characters long) The user can change their password later in the customer end portal
       
  5. Let the Customer know their username and password and prompt them to log in and change their password. 

Customizing the Portal
 

  1. Go to the Customer Portal page
     
  2. Add an Invoice Label and Choose which tabs you want your customer to see.
     
  3. Change the header colours you would like. You can enter the hex codes or choose the color from the chart.
     
  4. Upload a header logo if you choose to.
     
  5. You can upload a banner if you choose to. The default is a man on the phone looking at his laptop.
     
  6. Click the floppy disk to save.

Note: Dimensions for Logo and Banner are as below.

  • Logo: 180x52
  • Banner: Will stretch to fit user screen. Standard screen is 1020x766 with ratio 1.3
