Affected Services Event Summary Event Timeline

Event Description: An outage affecting our ULC Brightlink caused inbound calls to Brightlink numbers to intermittently route to a testing message.

Affected Services

Inbound calls to some phone numbers with Brightlink from AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. 


Event Summary

One of our underlying carriers, Brightlink, was affected by an outage with one of their upstream providers. This outage caused inbound calls to numbers housed with Brightlink to play a message stating that this was a test number. This outage only intermittently affected callers on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Brightlink was already aware of the issue and resolved it by making a route change to inbound calls. We will continue to monitor them closely and report as we have updates. We apologize for any disruptions.


Event Timeline

13:37 EST - First reports received. Began monitoring for potential major incidents

13:57 EST - Major incident declared. Confirmed issue was occurring intermittently across AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile

14:11 EST - Began working with ULC directly to investigate the issue

14:13 EST - Clients were notified via discord and status page

14:22 EST - ULC identified the issue, began working with access tandem for a resolution

15:21 EST - Upstream provider made a routing change, tested, and confirmed calls are once again routing properly.
